When not rehearsing or performing on stage with the CSO, I spend my time…practicing the trumpet, working on my house, spending time with family when possible.
If I had not become a professional musician, I may have become a…don’t know, being a musician is all I ever wanted to be.
To unwind, I listen to…Alison Krauss, James Taylor
In the car, I listen to…Mostly podcasts of “Car Talk”
My current ring tone is…some kind of beep.
The last book I read was…“Death Comes for the Archbishop”  Willa Cather
Most people would be surprised to learn that…I’m obsessed with making coffee.
My dream is…hmm, well one would be to travel to Europe for a tour of great restaurants especially in Italy!

To prepare for a performance, I…Practice, practice, practice
If I could choose to play another instrument, it would be the…I would love to be able to sing well like Pavarotti
I also play the…just the trumpet.
My most embarrassing musical moment was…I passed out at my High School All-Region jazz band concert while trying to hold out a High F!
An extremely positive musical experience I have had was…just about every minute spent under Junichi Hirokami’s direction.
A profound experience, musical or otherwise, that has shaped or deeply influenced my approach to music would be…not sure this is profound but the simple way people enjoy listening to a performance.  It really makes a difference in people’s lives and says a lot!
If I could spend a day with any composer, if would be…seems to me having an evening out with Mozart would have been quite memorable!
